Possibly the best food deal in all of Florence. The food is from the
same kitchen as the Michelin-starred Ristorante around the corner, but the
prices are not. Cash only, no reservations accepted.

I Fratellini- via dei Cimatori
38r, 055-239-6096. A terrific place for lunch or a snack near OrsanMichele,
Fratellini serves up tasty little sandwiches for a couple of euros, an
ombra for another two euros and you've got a recipe for happy.

Volpi e L'Uva- Piazza de Rossi 1r, 055 239-8132. The
perfect little place to rest your feet, just on the Oltrarno side of the
Ponte Vecchio.

La Maremma- Via
Giuseppe Verdi 16r, 055 240-972. A wonderful, warm place with
clean, modern takes on the traditional Tuscan fare. Reserve ahead.

Trattoria Anita - via del
Parlascio. On the budget lists in many guidebooks, Anita is a
relaxed, inexpensive and informal place with solid fare and large
portions.

Trattoria Za-Za- Piazza
Mercato Centrale 26r. It looks touristy, but the food at this place,
right next to the Mercato Centrale, is undeniably good. Reserve
ahead if you want to sit inside.

Cafe Rivoire- via Vaccherecchia
4r, Piazza della Signoria. Pricey, but an undoubtedly
picturesque place to take your hot chocolate.

fabrics made on 16th century looms. The Setificio draws on a history
of techniques and patterns handed down from the family libraries of the
great Florentine families. Well worth a visit.
